Why it is needed
If every charger drew full power at once, even a handful could exceed a site's spare capacity — risking overload and tripping, or forcing an expensive incoming-supply upgrade. Load management solves this by coordinating the chargers.
Static vs dynamic
- Static load management caps the chargers to a fixed share of capacity set aside for EV charging.
- Dynamic load management monitors the whole site's live demand and gives the chargers whatever capacity is spare moment to moment — maximising charging when the building is quiet and backing off when it is busy.
